Recognition

Today I stopped by a yard sale after work and found a little 25 cent book filled with all kinds of goodies about mothers. Actually the name of the book is "The Beauty of Motherhood" I thought it would come in handy around mother's day making cards for my little Sunday School class.
Here is one of the little writings I came across in it ......I found it to be quite an eye-opener! See what you think!
Recognithion
"I don't want to hear another word!"
I hear my daughter say
"Dear me!" I think, "She's awfully strict
For a playful three year old!"
She rolls her big eyes heavenward
And sighs with great disdain.
"What am I going to do with you?"
Her dolls hear her complain.
"Sit down! Be still! Hold out your hands!
Do you have to walk so slow?
Pick up your toys! Go brush your teeth!
Eat all your carrots! Blow!"
I start to tell her how gentle
a mother ought to be
When blushingly, I realize
She's imitating ME!

Now that alone was worth the quarter. I can't wait to see what else is tucked inside the pages of that little book.
{Happy Friday !}

Oooohhhh.. I like that. :)I have a HUGE collection of little quote books, and I am always finding more. :) It is so inspiring to read even just a little bit. Thanks for the reminder how closely our children are watching us.
