Ouch That Hurt !!!

Brianna is in winterguard and last night at practice she threw up her flag and it came down on her shoulder. Ouch!!! I am so glad they wern't practicing with their rifles!!! She told me it hurt and I didn't doubt it, but today it was worse so I took her to the doctor. She has a broken collar bone :( ....It is not broke all the way.... a buckle fracture?) and the dr. says she will be ok in a few weeks so we are thankful it wasn't any worse. Who would have thought a winterfuard flagpole could do that? Not me....never even crossed my mind. For now though Bree gets to wear this ohhhh so stylish sling, which I am sure she will come to dislike very soon. And she is right handed so that does make it hard to do homework. All in all she will be just fine as soon as the pain goes away, we can't seem to get the motrin to kick in and do what it's supposed to do. And she won't be doing any practicing for a few weeks.

Lovin' Cheerios

WOW!! It's been a while since I posted anything new. Now that I am finally over the flu(2 weeks --YUK) I'll try to get back to posting more often again. Bree has been sick too with strep throat(twice or once and a really bad sore throat the other time) so I don't really have any new pics to post of her right now but maybe soon. I love the snow , but I'm ready to go find new picture taking places(any hints would be greatly appreciated~~you can only use the same spots so many times, then it's like ummmm REPEATING and takes away from the AWWW of it)Except when your taking pictures of a baby, then everything is cute and new, because they are always changing and learning new things. Today I'm posting pictures of Kayden (like yall didn't guess that already :) and his new love for Cheerios!! He loves these things. I think he would eat them about all day long.
Ahhh the wonderful finger food........Cheerios! Cheerios and Veggie Tales....could it get any better??? Love those little conductor overalls. They are just too cute....... oooops! It's going in backwards!!!!
Tah-Dah!!!!!!!!! It's in there!!!!
Kayden is 11 months old and just started feeding himself little finger foods not too long ago because.......he didn't have too. We were all too eager to feed him so he never got a chance till recently to learn how too. Poor baby-he kinda got a late start at it but he sure has it all figured out now :)

The Tornado

Here is a picture sent to me of the tornado that hit our little town. :0

The Day After

WOW!!! Last Tuesday February 5th was a stormy day to say the least. We are very blessed to have little to no damage from the tornado. We could hear it coming and went to the hall, covered up with blankets and prayed till it was over. The tornado went through part of the field behind our house and through our neighbors yard two houses away. That's Close!!! There was A LOT-A LOT of damage done in our little town but when you talk to other people weather they lost homes or have damage to their homes they will tell you they are blessed or lucky(depending on who you talk to.) I say Amen to that. The Lord is so good to us and for that we are truley thankful. We went out the morning after the tornado and took some pictures. We almost didn't get back in to come back home because they had blocked all the roads but we took some backroads and got home and then stayed put once we got here. Here are just a few of the pictures I took. They can't begin to show all the damage done.
This is the Post office. The back of it was damaged, but the mail still ran the next day. I didn't expect them too but I guess tornados don't even stop the U.S. Mail people. No telling who's roof, or house parts this is........ Here is a shot of main street. You can see so far now....... How sad....... This is one of Brees friends house. This is the house next door to Brees friends house. Not much left here it looks like :( This is so sad.... I do hope they get the headstones back on the right graves. :( :( Here is the Baptist Church. It doesn't really look like it in the picture but they did get a LOT of damage, But they held church services in it yesterday!!!!!! That's encouraging and wonderful!!! Here is the Brass Door Motel......uuugh This is what is left of one house. This is a BIG tree on this house. If you look close you can see two men in it cutting away branches. If you don't live here or haven't been through here you would not believe all the cleaning that has been done by friends family and volunteers already. It is so amazing all the help that was sent to out little town. Again I say WE are BLESSED!!!

Snow FUN !!!!!

Well it wasn't exactly a day for sledding for Bree but she sure had a lot of fun riding the 4 wheeler around in the snow. Now the snow is almost gone with our 50 degree weather today but we have ruts inour back yard as evidence that she had a good time playin in the snow!
Just watching the snow fall here. I could do that for a very long time.... ~~~ Still watching it snow~~~ Maybe next time we will get more snow and I will get more pictures......

I've been thinking...

Hmmm...I've been thinking the last little while that a FLU SHOT might have been a smart idea this year since I've been sick since Tuesday and in the recliner under a quilt for the most part since Wednesday. When they were giving the flu shots my darlin Kayden was in the hospital so I wanted to be with him and forgot about the flu shots till it was about too late, but now I'm thinking I should have scooted on over there and got one to try to prevent how I've been feeling this week. It may not be the flu but whetatever it is that I have is just plain ole yukky!!!!! It may be bronchitus(?..spelling) since I have an awful cough and chest pains, but what ever it is, I don't want to spread it to anyone. I havn't even let Candace bring my little Kayden over cause I don't want to get him sick. I'm very thankful we had snow so maybe not only me but the kids at school who have been so sick my have a chance to get better before we go back on Monday. Still it would have been more fun to take pictures of our beautiful 1st snow of the season. I did step out on the back porch to take a few of Bree playing in the snow.
